Measurement of Three-Dimensional Propagation Effects at the Atlantis II Seamount Complex during the TFO Pilot Experiment

Abstract

Approved for Public Release: The proposed effort seeks to quantify the effectiveness of using single hydrophone Autonomous Multichannel Acoustic Recorders (AMAR) and Ocean Bottom Seismometers (OBS) to measure out-of-plane propagation around the Atlantis II Seamount Complex during the TFO Pilot Experiment. The costs of the proposed work include purchasing and deploying three deep-water AMAR units from Jasco and fielding three OBS from the Ocean Bottom Seismometer Instrument Pool (OBSIP).
