Bayesian approach for object detection and scene analysis

Abstract

In support of the OSU/SIO proposal (Moum/Hughes Johnston/Rudnick) to deploy Flippin xSOLOs (FCS) in ARCTERX, this proposal seeks funding for the production of 6 turbulence pods to be mounted on 6 FCS units to be constructed by SIO. These 6 units will supplement the existing 2 units built under ONR grant N00014-17-1-2700. 8 units will be deployed in ARCTERX in 2023and 2024. -Specifically, we propose to construct 6 turbulence pods each of which includes includes 2 shear probes, 2 thermistors and a pitot tube for sensing turbulence and speed (Moum, 2015), a pressure sensor, a compass and a 3- axis linear accelerometer package.
