Enhancing Safe Tank Operations for the Red Hill Underground Fuel Storage Facility

Abstract

The University of Hawaii proposes to conduct research efforts in order to better understand corrosion rates and the causes and mecha nisms of concrete degradation, determine whether protocols can be developed or enhanced to better identify corrosion, develop concre te retrofitting strategies, and investigate potential coatings that could aid in corrosion prevention or repair.APPROVED FOR PUBLIC RELEASE
