80th Device Research Conference (DRC)
Abstract
The 80th Device Research Conference (DRC) will be held at The Ohio State University inColumbus, OH from June 26 to 29, 2022. In-pers,on attendance will be strongly encouraged, butdue to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a partial hybrid option will be available for th,ose whoare unable to participate in-person. For eight decades now, the DRC has brought together leadingscientists, researchers, and, students to share their latest discoveries in device science, technologyand modeling. Notably, many of the first public disclosures,of key device technologies were madeat the DRC. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the DRCthe longest running device researchm, eeting in the world. The high-caliber technical sessions will be highlighted by plenary talks andinvited talks by international rese, arch pioneers and leaders behind modern electronic technology. The DRC is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Electron Device Societ,y and conferenceplanning is done by MRS Conference Services. Each oral or poster presenter submits a two-pageabstract. A selection o,f these abstracts will be submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore.Key attractions of the 80th DRC include: Informative and timely sh,ort course in a rapidly developing field Oral & poster presentations on electronic/photonic device experiments & simulations Plena,ry and invited presentations given by world-wide leaders Collegial setting encourages open technical discussion of recent advances, Rump sessions to encourage lively debate Strong student participation with special recognition through awards for Best Student P,aperand Best Student PosterThe DRC is coordinated with the Electronic Materials Conference (EMC) that is held during thesame week. T,his recognizes the importance of interaction between device and electronic materialsresearch and provides for fruitful exchange of i,nformation between attendees of both conferences.
