Survey, geolocation, and precision transmission with airborne software defined radio

Abstract

The vision for this project is to use inexpensive COTS components to create a low-cost airborne software defined radio system. The,system is dual-purpose - academic researchers will use it to calibrate large interferometric radio telescopes using precision airfra,me geolocation combined with precision transmission of gold codes for correlation. The Navy will integrate the system into the CRI,T prototype for Blue Force spectrum monitoring and compliance, as well as other classified applications.
