CRI Year 2: Mapping flood risks related to sea level rise and vulnerable infrastructure

Abstract

The University of Hawai?i at Manoa proposes to map flood risks related to sea level rise and vulnerable infrastructure. Growing thre,ats related to climate shocks and stressors require a new generation of modeling tools applied to building community resilience. Mod,el products can be translated to actionable planning with partnerships built between university, local and state government, and mil,itary personnel. The fenceline can be a barrier to integrated planning unless it is recognized and made invisible through building e,ffective partnerships, advanced training, and application of research products by integrated teams of DOD and research personnel.
