Thirteenth International Symposium on Special Topics in Chemical Propulsion and Energetic Materials

Abstract

Publicly Releasable Project AbstractIn order to promote technical communication and to encourage further advancement in the area ofnew energetic material development, as well as characterization of the combustion behavior of energetic materials for propulsion applications, the Thirteenth International Symposium on Special Topics in Chemical Propulsion and Energetic Materials (13-ISICP) will be held at the Hotel Strand Gjvik in Gjvik, Norway from 30 May to 2 June 2023 and hosted by Nammo. The focus of this three-day Symposium will be Recent Progress in Energetic Materials & Chemical Propulsion, and it is anticipated that it will include approximately 100 oral presentations, covering a variety of experimental, theoretical, and numerical investigations. Presentations of five invited lectures, covering several interesting areas, will also be an important part of the Symposium. Selected papers from the Symposium will be recommended for submission to the International Journal of Energetic Materials and Chemical Propulsion and published upon further review as refereed papers. These papers will be useful reference documentation to both scientists and engineers. Financial assistance is needed to support the activities during the Symposium, particularly for partial support of US graduate students and invited speakers.
