18th International Symposium on Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC-XVIII)
Abstract
The 18th International Symposium on Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC-XVIII) takes place in conjunction with the 243rd Meeting of The Electrochemical Society (ECS) from May 28 - June 2, 2023 in Boston, MA (US). SOFC-XVIII will provide an international forum for the presentation and discussion of the latest research and developments on solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs), solid oxide electrolysis cells (SOECs), and related topics. Papers will be presented on all aspects of these technologies from fundamental science to deployed systems and industry/governmental programs highlighting their critical importance to alternative energy generation in the face of the current and developing climate crisis. The symposium will feature oral and poster presentations, plenary talks, and ample opportunities to foster scientific collaboration and network building. The symposium begins with the opening ceremony including the ECS High-Temperature Energy, Materials, & Processes Subhash Singhal Award presentation, followed by daily plenary presentations of the national and regional projects on SOFC-SOEC from the U.S., EU, and Asia (Japan and Korea). This symposium s proceedings will be published in ECS Transactions, the official conference proceedings publication of The Electrochemical Society.
