Measurement-Accelerated Preparation of Entangled Quantum States

Abstract

Proposal title: Measurement-accelerated preparation of entangled quantum states --The speed with which information propagates in a many-body system plays a fundamental role in quantum science. Unitary quantum dynamics are subject to Lieb-Robinson bounds, which limit the propagation velocity of correlations and entanglement. Open quantum systems, subject to measurement and feedback, are not restricted by these bounds. In this proposal, we will explore protocols that use measurement to accelerate the speed with which quantum protocols like entanglement generation and state teleportation are realized.
