24th Conference on Integer Programming and Combinatorial Optimization
Abstract
We seek support for the 24th Conference on Integer Programming and Combinatorial Optimization (IPCO), which will be held at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, University of Wisconsin-Madison, from June 21#23,2023.IPCO is a highly selective refereed conferencethat is held under the auspices of the Mathematical Optimization Society. It is held every year, except for those in which the International Symposium on Mathematical Programming takes place. The conference is a forum for researchers and practitioners working on various aspects of integer programming and combinatorial optimization. The aim is to present recent developments in theory, computation, and applications in these areas. IPCO 2023 will also feature a poster session as a venue for young researchers to showcase theirwork to their established colleagues in the fields of integer programming and combinatorial optimization. The poster session, held jointly with a reception, is traditionally well attended and serves as a springboard for networking. This year#s poster session is reserved to master students, Ph.D. students, and PostDocs. Moreover, there will be a best poster award. Among the posters that will be presented at the workshop, the Local Organization Committee will select 20-25 finalists based on their appropriateness to the workshop, that will be eligible for the best poster award and for travel support. The Local Organization Committee is requesting $7,500 from ONR to help support student travel to IPCO 2023. The requested funding would provide travel funding for roughly 15 of the posterfinalists, in the amount of up to $750 for each individual (and $500 on average).
