Emerging Science and Technology to Address Naval Undersea Medicine Needs: A Workshop
Abstract
In response to a request from the Office of Naval Research, Department of Defense, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering,and Medicine (National Academies) will plan and conduct a public workshop to examine undersea medical needs and requirements, as well as emerging science and technology to meet Navy operational needs. The workshop will convene Navy operators, submariners and divers, as well as medical and technical experts in undersea medicine and medicine in extreme environments, to explore emerging science and technology that could be deployed to meet undersea medical need of Naval Sea Systems Command and Navy Fleet Forces.
