Optimization of HTV for Wall Shear Stress Measurements in Turbulent Flow

Abstract

This project aims to advance hydroxyl tagging velocimetry technique by increasing its efficiency. This will lead to high spatial resolution velocity fields for flow configurations of relevance to naval hydroacoustics and deployment in large wind tunnels. The molecular tagging velocimetry system was deployed a first time in the NSWCCD#s anechoic flow facility in 2022. We are here proposing to make the technique evolve to prepare for future campaigns.
