UUV Test and Evaluation

Abstract

The proposed work for the project #UUV Test and Evaluation# will focus on continued development of methods for reliable homing and docking for twelve-inch UUVs, specifically the REMUS 600 family of vehicles. The project includes system design, software architecture, hardware integration, plus algorithms for autonomous management of homing and docking operations. The development effort will utilize existing vehicles and new homing and docking hardware developed under previous projects as described below. The goals for the program include demonstration of homing and docking using an acoustic ultra-short baseline (USBL) receiver operated under the control of the on-board Autonomy processor (as opposed to the core vehicle computer), and testing of reliability of the developed methods.Approved for Public Release
