Sea-level rise in the Indo-Pacific region: Building a framework for interdependent resilience

Abstract

This grant supports work for a companion project to a recently awarded MURI (Grant N00014-23-1-2862). This companion will assess the validity of surrogate flood models by collection of wave, current, bathymetry, and overtopping measurements at field sites in Oahu Hawaii and Guam. These data will be used to inform the TESLA flood model and a coupled numerical model which includes a tide/storm surge component. Scaling for additional sites and out in time (decades) will be approached through a combination of dynamical and statistical surrogate modeling. -
