Exploiting Structure for Disjunctive Programming
Abstract
Global optimization for mixed-integer linear and nonlinear optimization has made enormous strides in the last decades. Good modeling practices have become well known, and many important mathematical and algorithmic principles are now absorbed by solvers. Still, there is a lot that we do not fully understand about best modeling practices and how to compare modeling alternatives. One of the most important modeling constructs is disjunction, that is logical #OR#. We aim to advance the state of the art for handing this acrossa wide variety of models and applications.
