2nd Joint Acoustics/Oceanography Experiment on the Washington Shelf for Mid-Frequency Sonar Applications
Abstract
We propose a joint oceanography-acoustics experiment on the WA Shelf in the summer of 2025. This experiment is a collaboration withthree other teams: APL-UW oceanography, Scripps MPL Acoustics, and NRL oceanography. The overall goal is to improve mid-frequency acoustics predictions in temporally and spatially varying shelf environment by exploiting improved ocean modeling capability combinedwith in situ ocean data.
