No IDC Workshop for Challenges and Opportunities for Designing Material Biomes
Abstract
Workshop to explore innovative models of material design that fully integrate local environments and their ecosystems (e.g., non-GMO) into the development of new materials.Thought leaders will come together to collaborate on the potentials of incorporating local ecological systems into material design, identifying new research opportunities, addressing existing challenges, and fostering collaborative efforts. Through interactive sessions, participants will engage in critical dialogue around the complexities and opportunities of designing materials that align with and leverage local environments. The workshop will help pinpoint research gaps, propose key scientific questions, and explore avenues for future collaboration.This is an invite only event with intent for documentation with broad dissemination to help create new and advanced research for public good.
