Exploring the Prediction Capability of the NAVGEM on the Subseasonal to Seasonal Time Scales
Abstract
The project offers to carry out a systematic evaluation of the NAVGEM subseasonal to seasonal prediction, with the ultimate goal of improving the model prediction skill. in particular, the grantee will evaluate the prediction of 1) the MJO and its teleconnection patterns, 2) blocking evens in the midlatitude, and 3) tropical cyclones.
