Development of Space Rated Pneumatic Artificial Muscles

Abstract

To develop innovative space qualified pneumatic artificial muscles (PAMs) for space robotics. A detailed design study will be completed in this initial study to evaluate the feasibility of applying vacuum rated PAM technology appropriate for a GEO orbit.
