Comparion of Terrestrial Gamma-Ray Flash Simulation with Observations by Fermi
Abstract
By modeling Fermi Terrestrial Gamma-Ray Flashes (TGFs), the Grantee proposed to 1) evaluated TGF radiation hazards; 2) improve understanding of particle acceleration and propagation in gaseous media; 3) improve understanding of the broadband signatures (ULF to gamma) of these impulsive events.
