Innervated Blood-Brain-Barrier Tissue for the Study of Neuroinvasion by Venezuelan equine encephalitis virus (VEEV)

Abstract

With the goal of understanding how live-agent VEEV infection permeates the blood-brain-barrier (BBB), the Lieber Laboratory will design, fabricate, and supply nanoscale field-effect-transistor (nanoFET) mesh arrays that will be used to create innervated 3D tissue models mimicking the cellular and structural heterogeneity of natural tissue.
