Semiconductor Device Technology for Space and Terrestrial Applications

Abstract

GWU will design and simulate both materials and devices for portable high-efficiency solar power systems by using computer codes developed by them. Quantitative experimental assessment of the performance of both materials and devices using standard and advanced methods to determine the state of materials and the response of devices to solar radiation in various applications. Determine the response of semiconductor devices to steady and pulsed radiation from natural to intentional sources in order to determine the viability of high efficiency solar cells for long-term space applications.
