Satellite-Based Applications to benefit Navy Meterological Analysis and Numerical Model Forecasts

Abstract

The propose applied research directed towards two main areas. 1) Advance the use of satellite data and products in meteorological analysis, and 2) Improve the understanding and approach to satellite data assimilation in numerical weather prediction (NWP) models.
