CSP - 3RD ARAB-AMERICAN FRONTIERS OF SICENCE, ENGINEERING, AND MEDICINE SYMPOSIUM
Abstract
US National Academy of Sciences (NAS) in collaboration with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia will conduct the 3rd Arab-American Frontiers of Science, Engineering, and Medicine Symposium. The CSP proposal is to use CSP funds for travel of 8 Arab region keynote speakers to participate in the symposium in Saudi Arabia. The symposium will focus on major scientific advances under the overarching theme of "Sensing Technologies, Networks and Applications", research areas that are very relevant to ONRG~s strategic areas of technical focus.Examples of Sessions of particular interest, of several: 1) Sensor Processes, Circuits, and Networks: Related to Info Dom Focus Area. Will address sensor processing and network research paradigms that enable real-time interoperability of distinct systems with precision across multiple platforms. 2) Advanced Materials and Assemblies for Sensing: Functional materials for sensing tech. Related focus area: Platform Design and Survivability. Maintaining sensor function across diverse hostile environments for an array of sensor operative needs including mobility, durability, lifetime, low-power/low-energy, and heal-able.
