CSP - 3RD SYMPOSIUM ON PREDICTIVE CONTROL OF ELECTRICAL DRIVES AND POWER ELECTRONICS - PRECEDE 2015
Abstract
A: The group organizing this small 50 person symposium is from the number 1 University in Chile by publications citations. It is a smaller and very prestigious engineering university. They have been awarded a 10 years multi million dollar grant from the Government of Chile (Conicyt) to work with 2 other universities on Power and Energy. B: Predictive control has become a powerful and attractive alternative to linear control and modulation for the control of power electronics converters and drives. The advances in modern microprocessors and its processing capability at low cost has made attractive the implementation of this control technique. This has great applicability to ship control for all electric ships and future requirements for railgun and LAWS. C: This conference was first discussed with Dr Scott Coombe, code 33 when attended expo naval in Dec 2014. D: Bring together experts in the field to discuss future areas of research.
