SIAM Conference on Control and Its Applications
Abstract
This is the major international meeting in control that captures both theoretical advances as well as applications. For the first time ever, the SIAM meeting is being held in Europe. NSF is supporting the presence of the US invited speakers.Control theory is essential to a wide range of technological fields and application areas of vital importance to the Navy. These range from the design and control of autonomous vehicles, swarms of automatic vehicles, robust operation of networks, optimal design of jet engines, and optimization of manufacturing processes. The Navy s emphasis on the design of engineered resilient systems is critically dependent upon advances in control.
