CSP IFAC Navigation Guidance and Control of Underwater Vehicles 2015

Abstract

The University of Girona will host a workshop on Navigation, Guidance, and Control of Underwater Vehicles (NGCUV) will take place fro28-30 April 2015 in in Girona, Spain. The goal of this workshop is to bring together leaders from industry and academia for discussions and demonstrations of recent advances in navigation, guidance, and control of unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs). This workshop will also provide a forum where leading researchers can engage with each other and, hopefully, motivate new research in the field. The workshop will include a focus to address multiple vehicle operations and control, interoperability, and communication in challenging acoustic communication environments. The workshop topics include the following: UUV applications, navigation, modeling and simulation, fault detection, security applications, environmental monitoring and protection, UUV vision sensing, interoperability. This event aligns to the Autonomy and Unmanned Systems focus area of the Naval S&T Strategic Plan
