Xth International Workshop on Adapative Optics for Industry and Medicine

Abstract

The conference has the aim to discuss the most recent progresses in Adaptive Optics, specifically for non-Astronomical applications, among academic and industrial researchers from all over the world. Adaptive Optics is a branch of optics which, exploiting dynamic optical elements which can change their properties in response of electrical stimuli, aims to improve the quality of images acquired with an optical instrument or to change the properties of light beams to optimize its interaction with matter (as for example in high power lasers for cutting or ablation). This technology can be applied in different fields such as optical medical instrumentation, microscopy, astronomy, and the control of laser beam properties both in space and time
