COMPIT addressed the following topics in Shipbuilding, Marine and Offshore Engineering, Port and Ship Operation, CAX Techniques, Virtual Reality, Simulations, Robotics, Autonomous Surface Vessels, Artificial Intelligence, Decision Support Systems, Ship design methods and tools.While the focus of COMPIT address advanced IT applications for ship design (CAD, system design, simulation-based design) and operation (robotics and ship automation) it has an advantage of drawing a majority of the best people in IT for ship design.
