VII International Sandy Beach Symposium
Abstract
The Oeanographic Institute of University of São Paulo is organizing the VII International Sandy Beach Symposium to be held on July 6-10th at Ilhabela city, in the State of São Paulo – Brazil. The main theme will be “Insertion of the sandy beach ecology in a macro context of sustainability”, from which will guide discussions to future monitoring and management of these coastal environments.The event will consist, in each period, a plenary session followed by oral presentations, which comprise about 20% of the selected works. There will also be on different days, poster sessions and workshops, these in order to produce an informational material of the discussions and conclusions generated during the event. In the edition of 2015 is expected to be mixed audience with a common interest, which is the viability of monitoring plans and conservation of global interface of sandy beaches, to ensure the sustainability of these ecosystems
