Abstract

In 1984, was designed by students of the FURG (Fundation University of Rio Grande) the first Academic Week Oceanography (SUOCEAN). With the support of the faculty, was possible its realization. In 1987, the UERJ (State University of Rio de Janeiro) held the first National Week of Oceanography (NWO), targeting the integration and massive involvement of Brazilian oceanographic community. Thus, the NWO remained for a long time as the only scientific event of the area, promoting the interaction between student and professionals. Still, due to its multidisciplinary, she always added a large number of courses that have affinity to their areas, increasing the volume of participants and knowledge produced and exchanged in the events. Thus, with the approved project, it goes for approval of the participants. As a rule, there is a turnover between the North / Northeast and South / Southeast Universities, as a way of facilitating access to the SNO all regions and the offer of different oceanographic realities.The target audience comprises the entire community involved in oceanographic researches and studies, Marine Sciences and Fisheries and other areas such as Engineering, Marine Biology, Geology, Geophysics and others. Participants of various track-age: students, teachers and other employees of several institutions, public and private make up the profile of members of the event. In recent editions, the event was attended by approximately 700 (2012) and 400 (2013, 2014) people, therefore, it is estimated an average audience of 600 participants and over 30 guests between speakers and ministering courses. In addition, this year the event is being Ocean Fair, space within the University to expose brands and products. Exhibitors will have about 1500 people circulating daily, a great opportunity to introduce or consolidate your business.The Fair Ocean consists of a physical space composed of stands for the sponsors of the event to present their products and services. Located near the Food Court and Event Sports circuit, all to bring legislators of the sponsors. In addition to the public directly involved in the event, the fair will feature about 2,500 people daily visit the UFPA, from university to visitors seeking the existing services at the university
