CSP - 2015 IEEE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ROBOTICS AND BIOMIMETICS (ROBIO 2015)
Abstract
The IEEE ROBIO 2015 conference(2015 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Biomimetics) will take place from December 6 to 9 2015 in Zhuhai, China. The theme of ROBIO 2015 is “Bio-inspired Robots beyond Biomimetics”, reflecting the ever growing interests in research, development and applications in the dynamic and exciting areas of robotics and biomimetics. ROBIO 2015 promises to be a great event for researchers and scholars in robotics and biomimetics areas, with attractive technical and social programs. The ROBIO 2015 conference invites high quality original research and development papers in all areas related to robotics, biomimetics and related topics. Zhuhai is located in the Pearl River Delta, next to Macau. The city was one of the original Special Economic Zones established in the 1980s, and is now one of China s premier tourist destinations (nicknamed the Chinese Riviera). According to a report released in 2014 by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Zhuhai is the most livable city in China. Visitors to Zhuhai can also visit Hong Kong, Shenzhen, or Guangzhou, which are all within 1 hour of transportation from the city. The ROBIO 2015 conference received more than 520 paper submissions. After reviewing by the program committee, about 400 papers are accepted for oral presentations and poster presentation, and will be included in the conference proceedings. There will be 5 parallel tracks of the presentations for 3 days (December 7, 8, and 9). In addition, there will be 5 world renowned scientists give 4 plenary talks. The speakers include Prof. Masahiko Inami, Keio University, Japan, Prof. Michael Milford, Queensland University of Technology, Australia, Prof. Kyujin Cho, Seoul National University, Korea, Prof. Koich Hashimoto, Tohoku University, Japan, and Dr. George Zhang, ABB Corporate Research, USA, There will be a workshop on the Advances in Robotics on December 6, 2015. The proceedings of ROBIO 2015 will be published by IEEE. All the registered attendees will receive USB’s containing the proceedings at the registration desk. The USB’s of the proceedings will be distributed by IEEE after ROBIO 2015. In addition, all papers in the proceedings will also be available on-line for downloading via IEEE Xplore. Expected number of attendees is 470.
