CSP - IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference 2016 (IEEE I2MTC 2016)

Abstract

a. Technical: The I2MTC conference series, a flagship conference series of the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society, is an international technical forum for disseminating and exchanging information concerning the science and application of instrumentation and measurement ~ accomplished through tutorials, technical conference sessions, exhibits and publication of conference papers. For I2MTC 2016, there are 26 tracks in total. These tracks include from basic measurement theories and systems to real applications. b. Relevance: Instrumentation and measurement are critical technical areas in the US Naval and Marine Corp Science & Technology Plan. There are many DoN mission related areas including: navigation and its application; robotics, control, mechanical and material measurement; non-invasive measurement technique; structural & complex system health monitoring; imaging intelligence; emerging power and energy; and measurement of electric and magnetic quantities. The outcomes of the conference, based on the technical tracks, are firmly linked to the US Naval or Marine Corp Science & Technology Plan. c. Coordination: ONR 331 (Dr. Paul Hess and Dr. Thomas Fu) d. Desired Outcome: (1) meaningful information exchange and discussion of research ideas and status during the conference, and (2) collection of conference papers and other meeting materials
