13th International Naval Engineering Conference and Exhibition (INEC 2016) - Engineering the Triple A Navy: Active, Adaptive, Affo This conference is a forum for engineers and scientists from across the world~s navies, defense industries and academic institutions to share the state of the art of naval platform design and operation. B. Due to continued financial constraints, geopolitical unrest, and global terrorism there is an increasing need for world s navies to have complete access to the entire maritime domain and remain active and effective in an affordable manner. This conference provides a platform for international scientists and engineers to share innovative thoughts on the effective design, fabrication, and operation of naval platforms. Knowledge disseminated at the conference will help ONR/NRE/DON stay up-to-date on advances made on improved design capability and performance of modern naval vessels. C. This conference has not been coordinated with ONR, other NRE, or other DoD components. D. This conference will provide an opportunity for industry, academia, and world s navies to discuss challenges, present solutions, and share best practices in design, manufacture, and operations of modern naval vessels
