CSP - SAVEX15 Workshop

Abstract

The Shallow-water Acoustic Variability and Experiment (SAVEX15), was conducted in shallowwater in the northeastern East China Sea over the period 14-28 May, 2015. The goal of SAVEX15 was to obtain acoustic and environmental data appropriate for studying the couplingof oceanography, acoustics, and underwater communications in the area. SAVEX15 was a collaborative field experiment involving SIO (Scripps Institution of Oceanography), KIOST(Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology), KRISO, and several universities in Korea. The objective of this workshop is to bring together scholars, researchers, and students to sharepreliminary results of ongoing data analysis, exchange ideas, and discuss a future plan. Dr. Bob Headrick, ONR 322 supported the SAVEX15 and also strongly supports the workshop.
