NICOP - Particle-based numerical offshore tank
Abstract
Particle-based numerical offshore tank: Project will look at how to use particle-based methods for studying waves and currents in wave tanks. It will work both on improved modeling capabilities and strategies for data processing, given the demands from the number of particles in complex models. b. Work is meant to contribute to modeling done for ocean basins, coastlines, and other field locations that is supported by ONR. It is meant to work on these questions from a controlled point of view, with an eye towards sea bases and human-built structures. c. Code 32 (Scott Harper) d.
