CSP -Conference Support for Progress in Electromagnetics Research Symposium (PIERS) 2016
Abstract
Conference Support for Progress in Electromagnetics Research Symposium (PIERS) 2016 Technical: The Progress in Electromagnetic Research Symposium (PIERS) will bring together international specialists to report recent advances in both electromagnetic field theory and a wide range of applications. Specific topics include computational electromagnetics, electromagnetic propagation, scattering, and resonance, metamaterials, plasmonics and complex media, optics, photonics, antennas and microwave technologies, remote sensing, inverse problems, and radar sensing with spectra ranging from statics to RF, microwave, photonics, and beyond.b. Relevance: PIERS covers a broad spectrum of topics related to fundamental studies of electromagnetic sensing, class/ID, and decision processes for information dominance. It will contribute to the knowledge for the Naval S&T Strategic Plan~s focus area of Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare.c. Coordination: ONR 30 and 31, NRL 6300 and 6800, NAWCWDd. Desired Outcome: (1) meaningful information exchange and discussion of research ideas, (2) up-to-date information on technology status, and (3) collection of meeting material for future reference and analysis.
