CSP - The 10th Asian Meeting on Electroceramics
Abstract
Research on electroceramics has been playing an important role in the development of ceramic materials for decades. The aim of this conference is to bring together the physicists, the chemists, the electronic scientists and engineers from academics and the industries, of Asian region as well as other parts of the world, to discuss and exchange information on the cutting-edge of electroceramics and passive devices.Ceramic materials have been utilized in many applications due to their exceptional nature properties of oxidation-resistance, extremely refractory, high-temperature sustainability and high strength. Not only for the industrial requirements, ceramics are also deemed as important materials for the manufacturing of naval equipment. To meet the strict requirements for being used in harsh environments of military defense and traveling, particularly for the navigational activities, ceramic-based devices are required to be moresophisticated. One of the main purposes of this proposed conference ~The 10th Asian Meeting onElectroceramics~ is to seek an opportunity to develop smart ceramic elements, and is looking to underscore the advances in ceramic techniques. The research about some useful devices, that will be helpful for enhancing the naval power, is included in the main topics of this conference. For example, the topics of dielectric, microwave, optical, and energetic ceramics are all relevant to the required devices for naval use, such as transparent ceramic armour, guided wave radar, solid-state lasers, infrared heat-seeking devices, long-lasting cells and batteries. These military applications seek for materials with more reliability and superior properties. Based on the knowledge exchange and discussions by academics and industry experts in the meeting, it is believed that this conference will bring opportunities for the development on high-performance ceramic components.
