CSP - Financial Cryptography and Data Security 2017, Twenty-First International Conference

Abstract

Financial Cryptography and Data Security (FC) is one of the leading conferences in security and privacy. It focuses on the practical" applications of security technology, although its scope has now widened to include non-cryptographic security measures, as well as"" applications outside of the financial arena. 2017 will be the twenty-first year in which FC has run, and the conference has continu"ed to grow both in terms of quality of papers and number of attendees. FC attracted over 160 attendees in 2016.All papers present"ed are peer-reviewed, and selected due to their scientific merits. Reviewers are chosen from the conference program committee, which" consists of experts from all fields within the scope of the conference. Institutions from 16 countries are represented on the progr"am committee, including academic institutions and industrial research laboratories.This year the conference received a healthy nu""mber of strong submissions, which made the selection process competitive. After a careful review and discussion phase, 35 out of133"" submissions were selected. Overall, this 26% acceptance rate is comparable with top-tier conferences in the field of computer secur"ity research.Following the main conference there will be workshops running in parallel. This year these are: the 4th Workshop on" Bitcoin and Blockchain Research, the 1st Workshop on Targeted Attacks, the 2nd Workshop on Advances in Secure Electronic Voting Sch""emes, the 5th Workshop on Encrypted Computing and Applied Homomorphic Cryptography, and the 1st Workshop on Trusted Smart Contracts.""Together with the workshops, FC 2017 has an impressive array of speakers on a wide range of topics.
