About IWCEM The IWCEM - International Workshops, Conferences and Expo for Military and Marine Applications, were initiated in" the year 2008. The event has had nine editions and has had support and participation from across the globe involving the Defence Se"rvices, Shipyards, Coast Guard, Industries, Professional Bodies, Research Organizations and Academic Institutions. The feedback syst"em indicated the events as technically rich and well received with users giving out new projects and accepting transfer of technologies. About IWCEM 2017 IWCEM Organizational Meeting & Mid-term review 19-20 Nov 2016: will be conducted as a prelude to IWCEM conference and technology meet. This is a program by invitation for participants who would present their views for the user driven output from the event. The framework of the conference will be crystallized based on the inputs received. This meet will also incorporate" technical presentations for the selection round IWCEM 2017 ~ 03 ~ 05 June 2017 with its motto ~Igniting Research for Application~,"" conceives the event as an interactive platform for cross flow of ideas, collaborative R&D and long term strategic technology progra"ms. It will also provide an opportunity to the industry for product display & presentations. While demonstrating the technical stren"gth of participants, the technology meet is expected review and initiate the international co-operation in process of R&D, technolog""y development and where feasible, transfer of technology. The event will offer felicitation to veterans who have contributed to mili"tary and marine technologies. Technical Highlights The conference will cover the needs and availability under the following broad he"ads: ~ Mechanics, Materials and Corrosion ~ Technology ~ Operations Subsets of these themes are summarized in Table 1. The import""ant point is that IWCEM2017 is designed to be a ~one-stop-venue~, as far as marine applications, ship building, corrosion science an""d marine engineering is concerned, where specialists are exposed to the latest scientific concepts and techniques by the World~s for""emost experts. The meeting is also expected to result in the establishment of enduring networks between scientists, engineers, indu"stry and end-users.
