Abstract
The objectives of the 6th International Symposium on Energetic Materials and their Applications (ISEM 2017) include both fundamental researches and industrial applications relevant to energetic materials. The objectives are to obtain an overview of the most recent international research efforts and to provide opportunities for scientists and engineers to establish avenues for cooperation and collaboration. The topics to be covered in this symposium are the following ten topics:1) Explosion Safety2) Blasting3) Propellants and Pyrolants4) Pyrotechnics5) Fireworks6) Analysis and Detection of Explosives7) Gas Detonation8) Shock Compression of Conde"nsed Matter9) Pyrotechnique Safety Devices for Automobile10) Blast InjuryThe topics of the symposium, obviously, have strong ties" with the explosive devices and missile technologies. Our symposium covers many aspects of energetic materials and devices. The tech"nical exchange of the latest development and discoveries in could have significant impact to future Naval applications. In addition,"" the discussions of rising issues such as hazard safety, security & risk management, and the detection of explosives are also import"ant to the US Department of Defense)
