NICOP - Stress-adaptive training design for accelerated learning and improved performance in high-stress situations

Abstract

This proposal outlines the continued study of training design for accelerated learning to cope with highstresssituations by methods" for adapting training to trainee stress reactions. Results are cross-platformrelevant, specifically relevant to Code 34 research a"reas on applied instructional research; cognitivescience of learning; human activity recognition; skill acquisition; virtual techno"logies and environments. On a brief level of description, the warfighter value of the project is increased individual & team learnin"geffectiveness. Findings will be explored with a concept demonstrator which quantifies operators~ stressreactions and use this dat"a to adapt training design components, with results quantified through anexperiment with human participants.
