CSP - The 10th EU-Japan Joint Symposium on Plasma Processing
Abstract
The 10th EU-Japan Joint Symposium on Plasma Processing (JSPP2017), which will be held atBankoku Shinryokan Conference Hall at Okina""wa, Japan, from the 4th to7th of December, 2017, isan international symposium on science and technologies of plasma processing and"" other relateddisciplines. The Symposium is open to anyone from around the world, not limited to those from EUor Japan, who is int"erested in the subjects. The goal of the Symposium is to provide an open forumfor high-level discussion among scientists and engineers specializing in the study of plasma scienceand technologies. The Symposium covers a broad range of science and technologies rel"ated toplasmas processing, including but not limited to~ Atomic and molecular processes in plasmas~ Collision cross sections~ Fu"ndamentals of low temperature plasmas~ Plasma-surface interactions~ Plasma diagnostics~ Modeling and numerical simulations of pla"smas and surfaces~ Atmospheric/high-pressure plasmas~ Plasmas in (contact with) liquids~ Plasma processing of materials, includin""g etching and deposition~ Plasma application for nanotechnologies~ Plasma application for biology, medicine, and environments~ Ot""her plasma science and technologiesIn addition, two Special Sessions on ~Plasma-liquid interactions~ and ~Plasma application toagr"iculture~ will be organized for the fields that have shown rapid growth in recent years in plasmascience and technologies. The Co-c"hairs of the Organizing Committee of this Symposium are the following members:Satoshi Hamaguchi (Chair, Osaka University, Japan)Ni""gel Mason (Co-Chiar, Open University, UK)Zoran Petrovic (Co-Chair, Institute of Physics, Serbia)Fumiyoshi Tochikubo (Co-Chair, Tok""yo Metropolitan University, Japan)The meeting will start with the plenary session in the morning of Dec. 4 (Mon) at BankokuShinryo""kan Conference Hall, followed by the poster and oral sessions in the afternoon and thereception in the evening. The oral sessions w""ill continue to be held on Tuesday morning, for thewhole day on Wednesday, and on Thursday morning.
