Czech-US Conference on Advanced Nanotechnology and Chemistry
Abstract
The aim of the project is to support the Czech-US Conference on Advanced Nanotechnology and Chemistry. This conference will introduce top Czech scientists working in the field of nanotechnology and chemistry to their US counterparts. The desired outcome from this conference will be the identification of opportunities (projects and funding sources) to advance the nanotechnology field more effectively through US-Czech collaboration. The conference dates are 17-18 January 2018, and will be hosted by the US Embassy Prague at the American Center in Prague. The Embassy will also host a conference evening reception on January 16 at the Ambassador’s residence. Guests to the reception will include the conference scientists as well as invited guests from government, academia, and business. The conference will be organized by the Regional Centre of Advanced Technologies and Materials (RCPTM) based at the Palacký University in Olomouc (www.rcptm.com, RCPTM) together with Office of Naval Research Global (ONRG) Prague Office and the Political/Economic Section of US Embassy Prague (https://cz.usembassy.gov). RCPTM is ranked among the top equipped European centers in the field of materials, chemical, and optical research. General Director of RCPTM, Prof. Radek Zbo?il, will serve as the conference chair. RCPTM will take the lead on inviting the Czech scientists. US Embassy Science Fellow Dr. Frank DelRio, from the National Institute of Standards and Technology, will take the lead on inviting the US scientists.
