CSP - The 6th International Workshop on Nanotechnology and Application (IWNA 2017)
Abstract
Ten years ago, the First International Workshop on Nanotechnology and Application 2007 (IWNA 2007) was held on November 2007 in Vung Tau, Vietnam. Following the First one, the Second, the Third, the Forth and the Fifth Workshop (IWNA 2009, IWNA 2011, IWNA 2013 and IWNA 2015) were also organized successfully. The Workshops have attracted many scientistscoming from various Universities, Institutes, Laboratories and Companies all over the world. For each IWNA, there were about 300 participants (including 100 foreigners from 20 countries) with 200-250 papers covering almost every aspect in nanotechnology, varying from fundamental research, nanomaterials synthesis, processing to nanofabrication of nanodevices and theirapplications in life science. In IWNA 2015, there were 21 manuscripts submitted by the participants to the International Journal of Nanotechnology (IJNT) and 10 manuscripts submitted to the electronic journal Advances in Natural Sciences: Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ANSN) jointly published by IOP Publishing (UK) and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST). Continuing the success of the five Workshops, this year the IWNA 2017 will be held on November 08-11, 2017 in Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan. The IWNA 2017 is jointlyorganized by Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM) / Institute for Nanotechnology (INT) and MINATEC (France). It receives the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Department of Science and Technology - Ho Chi Minh City and other organizations. The IWNA 2017 will hopefully open an opportunity for international & national scientists to exchange knowledge on various aspects of nanotechnology. Moreover, the broadnetwork for international collaboration in research and education on nanotechnology may be established as the productive results of the Workshop. In addition, as a satellite activity of the Workshop, the Forum on Business opportunities of Micro-Nanotechnology industry in Vietnam will be organized to provide a chance for scientists, researchers and business community toexchange business opportunities in Micro-Nanotechnology in Vietnam.
