CSP - Workshop: Future Trends in Synthetic Biology
Abstract
The purpose of this effort is to fund a workshop, entitled ???Future Trends in Synthetic Biology??? to gather international experts todiscuss and report on current research progress in the field of genomics engineering, and discern focal points for future, relateddisruptive technologies and applications. The workshop will be an invitation-only, closed-door event. Participants (<50) will bemixed government, academic, and industry; participants recommended by ONR Global and the leaders at the University ofEdinburgh.The outputs will be a horizon scan of the status of the status of international synthetic biology research as applied to multiplemarkets and a white paper; to help build stronger transnational links between European and US researchers. In addition, theworkshop will afford an unclassified scan of up to date (at time of writing) Biological & Chemical threat advancements, with timehorizons of potential application development.
