CSP - The 7th International Conference on the Development of Biomedical Engineering Translational Health Science and Technology for Developing Countries
Abstract
Following the last six successful International Conferences in 2005, 2007, 2010,2012, 2014 and 2016, we will organize the Seventh International Conference on theDevelopment of Biomedical Engineering from June 27-29, 2018 with the theme:???Translational Health Science and Technology for Developing Countries???,endorsed mainly by the International Federation for Medical and BiologicalEngineering (IFMBE) and the Conference Proceedings will be published by Springer.The advancements in computing and sensing technologies have beengenerating a huge amount of data (Big Data) ever. Investigating these data and theunderlying system dynamics will yield better understanding of the biological complexprocesses. In this conference, fundamental research on mathematical data scienceand distributed decision making under stochastic and uncertainty condition for theapplications in healthcare will be one of the major focuses. Variety of current topics inthe field of Mathematical Data Science applied in Healthcare to be discussed include:Healthcare Information Technologies, Advanced Biomedical and Image Processing,Data Driven Modeling, Bioinformatics & Data Analytics, Computational SurgeryMathematical Modelling in Medicine & Biology, and Computational and ExperimentalAdvances in Molecular Medicine.Progress in biomedical engineering (BME) has never been more rapid andexciting than it is today. Therefore, beside the aforementioned field of MathematicalData Science applied in healthcare, the conference also provides a forum forinternational collaborations and disseminations of research in the broader areas ofbiomedical engineering including medical instrumentation, biotechnology, medicalimaging, drug delivery therapy, regenerative medicine, computational medicine,mathematical modelling, and big data in healthcare to exchange new research ideasand results. Specifically, the conference will help to 1) promote a collaborationnetworking among scientists and experts in the fields of BME, 2) provide opportunitiesfor international scientists to investigate research topics that are proper for low andmiddle income countries (LMIC), and 3) introduce to investigators from LMICs withadvanced technologies and approaches. Scientists will present their latest findings inbiomedical engineering. The conference will be accompanied by tutorial sessions andconcluded by a meeting to regroup international scientists who are interested ininitiating specific joint projects and activities with LMIC counterparts. Besides thescientific sessions we also organize the social events and tours to allow ourinternational guests and family members to visit our beautiful country/region and toexplore our culture.As in the previous conferences we invited international renowned researchersas keynote speakers. This time, some have already accepted to give talks inMathematical Data Science to facilitate the fundamental research in the emerging datascience for healthcare. For example, Professor Heragu Sunderes from OklahomaState University, U.S. will give his talk on: ???Deterministic and Stochastic Models forHealth Care Systems???, and Professor Ruth Nussinov from Professor and SeniorPrincipal Investigator, National Cancer Institute and Tel Aviv University, Israel, withthe talk on ???Oncogenic K-Ras signaling and drug discovery???.
