A Fully Certified Quantum Random Generator Theoretical Part

Abstract

The project will deliver a high bit rate random number generator—based on measuring a value indefinite observable constructed by superconducting quantum circuits—whose quality will be certified by fundamental principles of quantum mechanics. The interdisciplinary project, between computer science, mathematics and physics, will include the theoretical and experimental parts necessary to build the high bit rate quantum random generator and provide its certification. We will prove that the quality of the quantum random generator is significantly better than the quality of any pseudo-random generator.
