Metamaterials 2019 The Thirteenth International Congress on Artificial Materials for Novel Wave Phenomena

Abstract

The Thirteenth International Congress on Artificial Materials for Novel Wave Phenomena ~Metamaterials~2019, will comprise a 4-day Conference (16~19 September), and a 2-day DoctoralSchool (20~21 September). Organized by the METAMORPHOSE VI AISBL(www.metamorphose-vi.org), the Congress will provide a unique forum to share the latest results ofthe metamaterials research and bring together the engineering, physics, and material sciencecommunities working in the field of artificial electromagnetic materials and their applications atmicrowaves, millimeter waves, terahertz, and optical frequencies, as well as in acoustics, mechanics, hydrodynamics and thermodynamics. This Congress follows the success ofMetamaterials 2007-2018 and continues the traditions of the highly successful series ofInternational Conferences on Complex Media and Metamaterials (Bianisotropics) and RomeInternational Workshops on Metamaterials and Special Materials for Electromagnetic Applicationsand Telecommunications. The Conference program will include four plenary talks given by theeminent researchers in the field of metamaterials. Leading experts will present invited talks, whichwill review the state-of-the-art and address the latest advancements in their respective areas. Thetechnical oral talks and interactive poster sessions will encompass a broad range of topics, fromfundamental electromagnetic theory of metamaterials and complex electromagnetic media toinnovative microwave, optical, acoustics and mechanical devices.
