14th International Aluminum Conference (INALCO2019)

Abstract

The 14th International Aluminum Conference is the premier conference on aluminum materials and structures. The conference covers a wide range of topics in the fundamental research of aluminum: corrosion, fatigue, stress corrosion, friction stir welding, non-destructive testing, surface treatment, and processing-structure-property relationship. It also covers the application of aluminum in several disciplines, including marine structures, civil structures, aerospace, and automobiles. Of particular interest to NRE is the phenomenon of aluminum sensitization, for which the support of this conference was strongly encouraged by ONR 33. This forum will provide a unique opportunity for a productive interdisciplinary exchange of ideas on aluminum alloys and structures among participants from industry, research institutes, and academia. The PI is a visionary leader of the field of aluminum alloys research. The PI~s expertise and experience make him uniquely qualified to organize and manage the conference.
